Zen proverb 18 : Ichigyozanmai

Hello! This is Katsuya Yasuda from Yasuda Consulting.

I will introduce a new Zen proverb. It is “Ichigyozanmai.”

Ichigyo means only one action.

Zanmai means all you want to do.

So Ichigyozanmai means to do only one action which you want to do.

Do you have such an action?

In my case, it is roasting coffee beans. it is my hobby.

I always focus to make delicious coffee. But only one thing I can do is to toss the frying pan. I don’t think anything except tossing it.

It is mental concentration.

Zen proverb 17 : Mujouzinsoku

Hello! This is Katsuya Yasuda from Yasuda Consulting.

I will introduce a new Zen proverb. It is “Mujouzinsoku.”

Life is bu a span.

We don’t have any time which we can wastefully use.

How can we avoid to waste much time?

One significant answer is being honest with myself.

Zen proverb 16 : Wakoudoujin

I will introduce a new Zen proverb. It is “Wakoudoujin.”

It means that we should humbly help everyone.

Even though you hold a high position, you should conceal it.

Even though you have a high ability, you shouldn’t show off.

To conceal and to show off means that you should be like a dust.
